So many wonderful members helped to make our November Soup In with CVQG a huge success!! Thank you to DawnT for the gift of Keepsake barn quilt fabric that was used to make a simple table runner for our bread and desserts. A big shout out to many people that contributed to our gift of friendship to our guests: JoyceP made mug rugs. ShelleyC donated food themed fabric and LindaLeeL, ShelleyC, MaryM, CharleneR, DebbieS created luncheon napkins for the catch all baskets created by DoreenG and JoyceP, plus a few attendees from the last retreat. Recipe cards were created by KellyP and LindaLeeL that featured our soups. A round of applause for MaryM for coordinating the program presented by Adele Scott. We all picked up a tip, technique, or a tool to use in future projects. Our soup chefs: SusanB, JudyC, MaryM, TerrieM, SandyN, KelleyP, JoyceP, KatherineP, AnnN and CharleneR deserve 5 stars! Our bakers: JaniceL, JeanneM, SallyM, KelleyP, CarolynR, AnnE, GailK, DebbieS, SarahS, and LindaB deserve the Pillsbury Award. Many hands make light work...our helpers that helped serve our guests: DawnT, SallyM, SandyN, DebbieS and many others that pitched in to serve soup and attend to the needs of others. Well done! Bravo!! And thank you all so much!

Recipes from Soup In

Lots of Laughs, Lots of Sweets, and Lots of Fabric!! The LLQG provided five mini-classes, each class lasting about 15 minutes. We learned how to make continuous bias binding, accordion HSTs, Westalee Quilt Rulers, Apliquick method of Applique, and how to make a Christmas Ornament from two fabrics cut to a 5" circle.
Then there was soup and desserts. Some members believe in the saying, "Eat dessert first...Life's too short." and so they did. But there was enough for everyone.
Thank you to HeatherD and LindaL for assisting in taking photos.

For our yearly Soup In with the CVQG, a presentation by Michele O'Neil Kincaid was enjoyed by all. Following the presentation, we enjoyed soups, breads, and desserts. And then it was show and tell time.
